Afternoon 4/24/2008; Heading west on 120 through the I94 intersection;
As the video starts, there is a light color car in the right lane ahead. Now I missed it when I was driving but the video showed that they did enter from the right. If I had seen that, I would have expected what was about to happen, but I though it moved from the left lane to the right so it could get on 94 south. Anyway, 13 seconds later, the car hits its brakes, and I thought it was slowing down for the turn. I didn't see any attempt to move into the left lane. I few more seconds, and it the car clearly wants to move over. The video doesn't look like it, but I had to hit my brakes fairly hard to avail hitting them. I was blowing my horn at the same time, and they didn't even react. Ends up it was two little white haired ladies, who couldn't deal with the increased confusion of the contruction zone intersection. I don't really blame them, but they need to consider whether they should really be on the road, especially during times of heavier traffic. They should also start driving on less difficult roads. I say they, but the passenger could have been fine, however her head didn't move at all when I hit the horn, so I don't think she was in much better shape.
Sorry to have to point you ladies out, but seriously
1. Consider if you should still be driving; Have some else evaluate you. If you are impared, you may not know.
2. If you continue driving, plan your trips during quiet hours of the day.
3. Avoid major roads and intersections. I'd suggest a GPS to help, but they sometimes can add to confusion.
Thank you, and please be safe.
