This is a massive fail. Its 4mb for a single player save on cod4, and the patches take up hdd space as there downloaded. patches on ps3 take hours. this is confusing for a dumbass

You actually think Sony wanted to place HDD in there systems just cause the games might need it? No Blu Ray disc speed is SO SLOW they need to practially install the game just to play it..

Consoles are supposed to be put in and play not Installs,you go to the store to buy a new game and all hyped up for it just to find out a 10 minute install is waiting.

I would love to debate it with you,but i doubt you would debate it with me.

... so your saying the video game industry never thought of having a harddrive in there console..? Dude the whole industry knew it would happen. Look at all the DLC for games. It was going to happen. Had nothing to do with BRD being "so slow" What do you think MS has been talking about for years? They want everything to be downloaded and you need a HDD for it.

you know how more games now require an install or stream off the hard drive. well there talking about the people out there who dont have a hard drive. the people who bought arcade systems and how it will be difficult for them and the developers to make games because they don't know how many non hdd xboxs are out there on the market. You also have to take in account that games are now taking up more storage. =) which is why MS will need a new media because not everyone can download.

The PS3 4x BD-ROM's maximum data transfer rate (NOT spin speed) happens to be slightly slower than the 360's 12x DVD-ROM. An 8x BD-ROM would be considerably faster than it.

The specified multiplier refers to maxmum spin speed with the highest useable format. When using a DVD, the BD-ROM spins much faster, to the point wher it will try to read the data at the same rate that it reads a Bluray disc's data.

BD on PS3 is 2x (72Mb/s) while DVD on 360 is 12x (132.96), 4x BD would surpass 360's DVD Drive.

I've got to say Pard, the best thing to do is to stay out of any movement, the first thing that happens is you get sucked in to their own little brand of Black Hole. I'm very carefull not to get associated with any Groups, Organanizations or Movements; number one because they always have to presure you for money to stay afloat, and two, they're often times users and if they don't throw you under the bus, they wind up throwing you away when you cannot contribute anything any longer.

in all honisty dude i brought metal gear solid played it about 4 times then cba any more i just dident get the story one minuite i was in a battleground the enxt minuite it was a cutscene of someone cooking eggs wtf :P

That is very well known for MGS4 its actualy bigger then the dual layer BD disc. That is why a lto of people got mad at the nice size install...i loved it though for speed and look pair that with MGS4 gameplay and story....sweet, am i right?
