SF Cops have often acted like pig thugs! There is no Peace without Justice. I am rarely surprised when a cop is killed. I don't cry for dead cops, only for the brutality, hostility and aggression they proudly exhibit.

When I drove Cindy Sheehan to Crawford Texas in 2005, over 65 % of the people were for the war. Mr. Obama was not even a nationally known figure. Now, he is the president and he got elected to stop the war. Otherwise, your president McCain would be Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bombing Iran right now!

Well I guess it just depends on how you are looking at it... I believe the protests have been successful. A few months ago we didn't have a pullout date- we have one now, I think that's a success. Is it enough? no.. cause we need to get out a lot sooner but that is why we are still protesting.... a government without dissent is no government at all.

These people are not making a difference, if they had the war would be over and all service men and women would be home. Even with the change in leadership the troops are still fighting. Protesting doesn't do any good.

Wow you sound really ignorant, if it wasn't for these "hippies" protesting we probably would have already had a draft instated by now... and you'd probably be sitting in some fox hole in the middle east. Why don't you get off the computer and join them?

This was a provocation exercise by the police. They pick a vulnerable female in the middle to the crowd to harass, surrounded her, and waited for the some idiot to be aggressive with a cop. This was attempted in every protest I've been to. But the people are on to these obvious tactics. It was funny to see the cops outed, specially in S.F. No arrests and looking ridiculous. It was a peace event after all. Silly little pigs!

Screw you hippies! Peace protests are nothing more than an excuse for young dumb asses to make fools of themselves and get angry (and possibly violent) when someone doesn't like what they are doing or have to say.
I hate the War in Iraq, but I hate hippies more.
