I also heard this a few months ago on CBC radio's morning program.

I was reminded of it now by the ending section of Ariane Moffatt's song "Perséides," from 4:40-about 5:05 (which came out in 2008). It sounds like this song should segue into this one (at about the 0:17 mark; however, it is in a different key), but they aren't from the same artist (perhaps that section inspired part of the chorus's melody?).
