Retake of the very nice but not very safe elevators at the UNM Domenici Center for Health and Sciences education. This is a better video than the previous one since I got both elevators.

As you can recall for those of you who haven't seen my first video of these elevators, the ISIS was ThyssenKrupp's first machine room-less (MRL) traction elevator; and unlike the Schindler 400A, Otis Gen2, and Kone EcoDisc, the TK ISIS was revolutionary and used Kevlar fiberglass cables instead of conventional braided steel cables. The ISIS was prone to a lot of problems. It would break down and get stuck a lot of the times. Then in the fall of 2007 at a children's hospital in Seattle, one of the elevators broke loose from the cables, and that's why ThyssenKrupp lost reputation with the MRL, even after they replaced the ISIS with the Synergy in 2008, the current MRL product. Many elevator technicians, such as the Kone technicians at UNM, call the ThyssenKrupp ISIS the "CRISIS" due to the problems it had.

  • Somebody call 9-1-1! My ISIS fell down it's on the GROUND FLOOR! LOL!!! (Background singers: ThyssenKrupp ISIS fell to the ground floor) Filechia and I joke about the "CrISIS" with Sean Kingston's song "Fire Burning"

  • I think the ISIS elevators currently in service are being retrofitted with conventional braided-steel ropes

  • These are Signa4 fixtures, but they were updated to look more modern and luxurious.

  • I wonder if these were only offered on the ISIS until the ISIS was replaced with the synergy, then the signa4 became an option of all of TK's hydraulic and traction elevators

  • Pretty nice technology elevator! Might be elevator needs fix-it to safety checks if there elevator improvement properly. Is will be safe by elevator technology???

  • @cubsrule2040 Yes, they are. SO this elevator is or will be safe.

  • After what happened with the Keevlar ropes, I would assume they would be forced to. They also have monitoring systems for those not upgraded.
