MNR Vortx, 21 June 2009, Doune Hillclimb - 47.30 seconds - Scottish Hillclimb Championship

Kawasaki ZZR1400 powered MNR Vortx Kitcar.
My best time to date and good enough for full 5 points. Still 1 second off the record but very pleased with my time.
Doune is the scariest of all the hillclimbs in the UK and up until now was my bogey track.
Dash overlay is a home-made Visual Basic application used inconjunction with adobe premier. Speed is recorded by an ETB Digidash Lite and should be accurate to within a few percent.

lots of guys go up that hill quicker than me. If I get back on a day with decent weather I can go a good bit quicker :)

Hi. If I understand you right. You just need to run less camber. I run my crossplies at 0.5 degrees negative camber as opposed to 1.5 to 2 degrees for radials. Cheers

Wheels are 13x7 fronts and 13x8 rears. 215/245 Avon acb10's a24 compound :)

Quick question, on you Digidash, the revs only show the thousands 7,8,9 etc until about 57 secs when you can see the hundreds i.e 7.8, 7.9,8.0 etc. Is that just an optical illusion - or a fault?

there are loads of people that go up that hill quicker than me but it is a nice feelin to win at Doune. The record in a single seater is now 35 seconds which is mind blowing.

I am back in September and plan to beat this time and will try to get the video on here :)

@ninjabogeyracing I have the same size on my mnr but I was told not to run a bias ply (abc10) as the geometry is designed for radials... any thoughts on this?

what tire compound and sizes are you running?

are those 13x7 and 13x8?
