On Friday, June 18, 2010, more than 320 volunteers sacrificed hours of their lives to help more than 17 agency partners, in addition to the City of Gadsden and Habitat for Humanity to complete more than, 1,200 hours of community service in one morning.
Day of Action also serves as a kick-off focus for the United Way's PaceSetter Campaign. Typically, the PaceSetters raise more than half of the United Way of Etowah County's goal.
