  • goddam...

I mentioned Bell and Chilton patching things up because I don't think Bell would have "forgiven" so easily had he felt Chilton had "stolen" his band. Anyway, that's OK, I'm an idiot, sorry again, it's kinda of sad you should take things this way. And, er, have a nice day too.

  • @BeWaTer99 Well I didn't mean to upset you. I was just saying Chris Bell didn't really "leave" Big Star -it's the other 3 who wouldn't work with him anymore because, basically, he was a mess. So he didn't leave, he was shown the door, that's a big difference. Certainly there was a clash of egos with Chilton at some point but you know, after the 1st LP debacle, Big Star's future looked grim, everybody in the band was disgruntled so there wasn't much to clash about.

  • @MickHaines You sir deserve to be called an idiot. Just tell me when did I say the opposite. Next time save your condescending replies to some dork.

I know they patched up things, still don't know what the fuck are you saying, honestly. You made me remember why I quitted Youtube three years ago, because of people like you. Have a nice day.

  • @BeWaTer99

Man, he left the band because the other three kicked him out. I love Chris Bell's solo stuff, but please don't re-write history. By the way, Chilton and Bell had patched things up as early as 1974.

  • @cosmicrider287 I believe a box set of all Big Star's work has been already released some time ago. As far as I know, "I am the Cosmos" was released in 1993... I must admit though I adquired "I am the Cosmos" by means of direct download, since I am a Spaniard, and foreign rare music is astoundingly hard to obtain. My last adquisition, the vinyl formal of The Clientele's "Strange Geometry" took me like a month or so to get it.

  • @BeWaTer99 i`ve red a sleevenotebio on this remarkable band.it hinted at the chilton and bell fact you mentioned.i wish i could score i am the cosmos on vinyl but my local retailer has to import it.the album is definitely high on my wishlist.
