  • Did you have difficulty finding a vet to treat Caplin or do they treat him like a giant guinea pig?

Also, do you chlorinate your pool or do something else to accommodate Caplin?

  • It is hard to get a vet. I take him to an exotic animal specialist but he's the only capybara the vet has seen. Guinea pig medication does not scale well to capybaras. Zoos put out information about what they use, which is what my vet consults when necessary.

The pool is lightly chlorinated or it would turn green almost immediately.

  • Where can i get a Capybara!??! I want one SO bad !

    ps: I live in Canada

  • I don't know about Canada but if you look at the FACute on my blog, the URL is in the video comment, there is a link to a woman who raises them in Arkansas. She might be able to connect you. Also, capybaras are not domestic animals and require serious dedication. And they don't like cold weather.

  • OmG CuTe!

  • oh !!!!

  • Webber is a cute name. I hope the capy finds a good home. I have never seen one in a pet store but I do know a breeder in Houston.

  • Yes you can in certain parts of Houston! They have a pet store over off the Hardy Toll Road (Sands Exotic Pets I think) and they have a capybara named Webber who needs a good home! I have been wanting to adopt him but I cannot do so just yet :(

  • i would like to get a Capy but i live in ohio so we get our fair share of cold weather. is it ok to make them an enclosure with heating or bring them in the house? i want to make sure i know enough before i do anything.

  • I LOVE BABY ROUS
