Grumpy Jii usually sticks to the classic Christmas movies, like "Die Hard," "Lethal Weapon," and "Gremlins." But today he's touting an animated Christmas favorite.
It didn't look like the holiday season in Arizona's Antelope Peak wilderness when I recorded this, but then it never does.

It really is a superb movie.

Gramps, you forgot the most important fact: this is the one thing from Kon that doesn't feel like it was made on crack! I mean, I expected SOMETHING crazy, but the movie just barely ranked "Well, that's odd!" on the 'Out-There' scale.
I used this movie for an essay for school, actually. Funny thing: I understood the hispanics when they spoke English ^_^
Thanks for the review, Gramps! Happy Holidays!

Tokyo Godfathers is good movie alright! When I saw the title and the previews on TV, I thought it would be a serious movie. Turns out, I ended up laughing a lot when I watched it.

I would not have guessed he was the director. Very big departure from his previous works. Good times.
