  • I'm speechless... I finally know where Rod Temperton came from. As a kid, I can remember reading all the credits on all my albums (especially MJ), seeing his name all over the place. I never knew he was a member & the master writer of Heatwave. That's good musical knowledge right there!

  • It is amazing how much tragedy this group endured. I have to say that I very much admired Johnnie's wife who stood by him under such circumstance. He had such a wonderful voice and his music is timeless.

  • @KeeWatts24 I was just thinking the same thing. Rod was the man back then. Still is probably. Amazing composer!!! This is by far one of my favorite Unsung episodes.

  • the next time i saw them they were star billing with girl dancers and another mindblowing performance r.i.p. johnnie and the other members of the band who have passed..thank you for the fantastic memories you gave not just me but thousands of other people

  • amazing documentary i had the pleasure of seeing heatwave live twice the first time they were support to tavares and i must say as good as tavares were heatwave were the highlight of the night and when johnnie wilder jnr sang always and forever even thinking about it now the hairs on the back of my neck stand up that concert is still etched in my memories the two thermometers that kept on rising as the show went on it was totally mindblowing performance
