everything about this cross over is just wrong....the intrument panel looks as if its been take out from a 1980s car, there's no 3rd row, the steering wheel is too big etc....etc....

This vehicle is actually not a crossover. It has a full truck-like frame as opposed to a unit-body type construction that makes a crossover a crossover. This is also an outgoing model, so that is most likely why the interior may not have the modern touches that we're used to seeing on new vehicles. Lastly, it is available with a 3rd row seat in the TrailBlazer EXT, but they stopped making those particular models in 2006. Most people needing a 3rd row seat step up to a larger SUV.
