This is the story of Roger Bushell, the RAF Spitfire pilot and mastermind behind the Great Escape from Stalag Luft III. Such an amazing role model and hero of mine. Roger Roger!! My Headmaster Derek Thrower , whilst in the cooler at Stalag Luft 3 was in the next cell to Roger Bushall, in Derek Throwers book The Lonely Path To Freedom , In this book DT accounts that Roger Bushall asked him to contact the officer in charge and the Red Cross as to his where abouts as the Gestapo had put him in solitary to await his fate ,He was due to be shot once news had surfaced as to his where abouts the Germans had no option as to release him to the confines of the camp

@aussieskiff Thanks for the comments.  I made another song about The Great Escape which tells more about "Big X", but have not yet done a video. I will hopefully have it done soon. Maybe I will check out that book you mentioned too. Thanks.
