This is track one off Dawes Western Skyline, Entitled "That western Skyline." I believe its about a guy that moves away from his home in California to Birmingham for a girl. He realizes that she doesn't want him there so he decides to leave; but first stop off and has a couple of drinks and tell his story to the bar tender. I think it could also represent a major change that someone makes in there life that doesn't go as planned. Great metaphors in this song. These guys are great songwriters and musician. i used to listen to this song everyday on the way to school back in my depressed days, i still possess a sense of sadness but i find other way to cope, listening to this now just humbles me to know that everyday is a new day, and i must let go of the past in order to dream and hope again
