ex-NS 4099, A B23-S7, was one of the Monongahela Super-7R. It powers a Christmas special on the Carrolton to Minerva Ohio trip. The light, low jointed rail has the unit really rockin, as it pulls a string of ONR coaches on the Santa Claus special. I am really surprised the engineer doesn't get a whiplash, or smack his head on the side window. The video is at Minerva Junction They will run the power around the train, and push it into Minerva Ohio.

It has come to my attention that there are many come on this clip expecting to see a derailment or a wreck. There is NO place in the title that says, or implies there would be such a thing. For those blood thirsty persons that wanted to see something like that. Sorry to disappoint you. This is only to show the ruff ride that the locomotive was giving the engineer. 12-15-2002

  • at minute 3:15 you can se the rails all bended!!! is this ok? doesnt supposed to be curved but leveled? isnt this an security issue?...yikes!!!

  • @enterBJ40 The track should be pretty solid! Almost looks like the track was placed on dirt, and not a stone base. This is an old branch line that hasn't seen maintance in a VERY long time.. Thanks for watching...

  • where is this?

  • @GALM1CIPHER93 It was between Carrolton and Minerva, Ohio. Thanks for watching

  • @steloification Funny! I don't see anywhere in the heading that there was a collision. Sorry you where disapointed in not see any blood and gore...

  • @branma No! Its an ex-NS unit in this video. NS got it from Conrail, who got it from the Monongahela RWY. When I took this video, it is owned by Ohirail, but the unit still carries the NS number, and sub lettering. So that makes it an ex-NS. The unit is now owned by Ohio Central. Thanks for watching...
