Just for fun - I filmed this when my band, All In, played at Toad's Place in New Haven on March 8, 2009. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Toad's is "the" club in Connecticut. Scores of big acts play there regularly and have for years.
We were there for a local radio station event. The station - WPLR - hosts a 5k run every year for charity called the "ShamRock and Roll" (cause it's usually around St. Patrick's Day). It starts and ends at Toads and we were there to pump them up at the beginning and keep them going at the end. The weather was great and they had what I think was their biggest turnout - over 1,400 runners! The place was packed!
The quality of the video is poor; my camera doesn't do well in the dark. I lightened th epicture up as much as I could, though. I'm sure our singer (Scott) would say the quality is poor because he isn't interviewed along with everyone else (he wasn't around when I had the camera out). But I got Tony, Rob and Sal. Also Wendy, Rob's wife (who filmed while we were playing).
The thing about asking how much sleep we got and what time it was had to do with the fact that we played the night before on March 7, until 2:00 am. it was spring ahead time, so 2:00am immediately became 3:00am. We had to be at Toad's around 7:00am, which our body clocks insisted was 6:00am. We started about 8:15am (or 7:15am 24 hours before). So this gig takes place after we got about 1 hour of sleep since our previous gig. But we pulled it off without a hitch!
