  • i completely agree with your thoughts on selling the artwork...i have such a hard time accepting the money for something i love to do. i feel good, mixed, like you. it is really amazing that you share almost an identical opinion as i do on something so important to me. i am very excited by this. --eisy

  • Hi Eisy

thanks for visiting me...are you also an artist.Looking at your red hair it seems that you are very artistic spirit.

    see you around.

  • please do..i am interested in hearing your ideas.

perhaps we can form a group of artists and work together to change the situation.

  • Yes, I understand exactly what you mean about how you feel about selling your art. I feel the same way about my art.

  • what do you suppose could be the answer?

  • Very interesting points expressed here, I envy your calm demeanor, thank you for posting. I can tell that you have been confronted with similar dilemmas which have confounded me for years. My own opinion is that the most recognized visual artists in history were not necessarily the most artistically talented, but instead the best networkers. This is why so much mediocrity has been trumpeted beyond its merits. I feel for the most talented forgotten artists who didn't know how to play the game.

  • nice.

i am an artist attempting to scale the wall of commerce.

  • Perhaps the answer is to make sure you are not creating art for the purpose of selling. Be selfish. If the public likes what you do and you are lucky enough to be able to make a living off your passion ( without compromising ) then fine. If not, maybe it's better to have a job aside from art that can support you, rather than sacrificing your integrity. I don't know though... I am too inexperienced to speak with authority.

  • this is a problem for me too. I just want to create! maybe I'll do a video log about it too.
