I like my Nikon p100 camera quite a bit, but it really gripes me that Nikon did not allow any way at all to have a remote shutter. So I had to find a more elaborate way to solve the problem. I decided what better way, than to design and build a remote controlled finger.
To do so, I made a standalone arduino and programmed it to handle all the necessary functions. I plan on posting my programming code and details on the build online soon, and will update with a link, since this project could be used by others for all sorts of other purposes.
@carlsrawfootage hello!! may i know what components do you use for to drive the Servo??

Great project! Very few camera's have built in remote triggers and this solves that problem perfectly.
How did you construct the plastic finger mechanism? That's the real guts of this project. I can figure out the servo code from the examples in the Arduino IDE, but the plastic finger is really clever and not so obvious.
