Children of War, Voices for Peace

Killed, maimed,orphaned, raped, trafficked,...... 1 billion children under 18 years of age are reported to be living in countries or territories affected by armed conflict*.
Robbed of physical, social, emotional and cultural needs to begin their young lives, the impact of armed conflict is devastating. Yet children and youth across World Vision's Middle East, Eastern European and Central Asia Region are asking to take part in changing the violent societies they live in. By becoming active stakeholders these children and youth are today's unheard peacebuilders - and the leaders of tomorrow. From the classroom to community, these children are challenging you to witness the impact of conflict on their lives, and find ways we can work with them to create more peaceful societies.
