2009 Georgia Bridgemen from Lowndes High School

Lake Lanier Tournament of Bands.
In Open Division, The Bridgemen were named 1st Place Band, scored 1st in Dance line, 1st Percussion, 2nd Drum Major, and 2nd Color Guard. The Bridgemen were named 1st place band in the Gold division, earned the Gene Shadburn Salute to Marching Bands award for best overall score and the Ronald J. Evans Outstanding Musicianship Award for highest band score.

@DrumCorps80 - - Actually a larger band in competitions hurts.. mistakes are more visible so are the lines.. what sets this band apart.. no sheet music! all the music is written for the band by its band directors. They focus on sound.. spine chilling sound. The Latin Show also on You Tube was written by Victor Lopez arranger for Gloria Estaphan

The Georgia Bridgemen claimed top honors in their second competition for the season, taking Best Band in Class AAAA and posting the highest scores for the Southern Showcase. The band won superior ratings for drum majors, color guard, persussion, dance line, and band. The Georgia Bridgemen persussion also won Best in Class

Lowndes FTW ill be with them in 2010 as a Baritone GO VIKINGS for any baritone out there needing advice: strive for your est and when u think about switching instruments or quiting wait for 8th grade night and you wont think that anymore Trust me!

@kohl3001 seriously. it is so hard for us to get superior ratings since we are so big. kinda sucks, but it's the sound that gets'em. and it is so awesome to hear them cheering through-out the ENTIRE show. GO BRIDGEMEN!

@jesttenrobinson As a Show band, music complexity isn't as big for us as it would be for a BOA band. But check out this year's (2010) show, its a good bit more complex.

And just for the record there has never been a band at Battle on the Border that could beat the Bridgemen at any of the competitions we attend.
