These applicator bottles where first in use in 1996 by The Grout Dye Comany, they were used extensively for recoloring grout with their epoxy grout stain colorants. Since then most have copied their idea, in any case you can purchase the original GDC applicator bottle right from them. I have the same 3 that I bough from them 10 years ago and they still work. You can make you own, but why bother when they come free with your colorant order.
