Agriculture Minister William Ruto and his Tourism counterpart Najib Balala have declared that 2012 will be a make or break election. In sentiments that seemed to be directed towards Prime Minister Raila Odinga, the two vowed to push for a generational change that will elbow out elderly politicians. The two pledged to reinforce an alliance in which they will either support Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta or Ministers William Ruto or Najib Balala for the 2012 presidency. The two say that they are ready to sacrifice their positions in Government to defend their stand, especially on the Mau issue.

ruto is saying "old men (presumably Odina, Kibaki etc) gathered around and defeated forces of new generation (Uhuru), this time they won't succeed." But he is part of the party (ODM) of one of those old men (Odinga) who "gathered" around to defeat that so called new generation.
Sound to me, like he, along with Balala are less members of a new generation, and more so just new generation member of the old men's old politics of tribal divide/conflict.

Give these 2012 campaigners a media blackout. I am afraid the more these idiots talk the more they divide Kenyans along tribal lines. They are a danger to peace in Kenya. KANU reinventing itself.
