I truly love people like you. I haven't had an easy life, & being a closeted lesbian in a mostly homophobic town, with homophobic guardians was just another negative to add to it all. I just couldn't understand why all of this happened to me, I thought the world was against me, and when I did come out I was bullied. I was close to killing myself, so close. But I couldn't, I wouldn't do it, I wanted to prove I was strong. That I wouldn't let my past and bullies destroy me. I like to think I have.

its hard for people in certain places or with certain friends/family/ or surrounding. It does get better and there is hope.I remember being mocked and bullied for being fat and a tom boy (commonly called a fat dyke) there was times when I didn't want to live but i knew that if I killed myself I'd let them win over my life-to permanately silence who I am,so I stayed alive,told the teachers and school board,tho they did nothing,I am glad that I am here and most of my tormenters are in jail.

God loves everyone no matter who you are or who you love. they need to put on some christian music. it helps. and just love yourself and not worry about what others think. the people who bully people for loving someone of the same sex are full of sins and hate.

I'm sure that the "It gets better" project helps some people, but what would really help would be if something were done to prevent the harassment and bullying in the first place. Why tell people "it gets better" if there is something that can be done now for them, so that they don't have to wait, and suffer? Why can't schools take care of children? Where are the teachers? Where are the principals?
