@jewelzqueen this IS professional ballroom Samba... duh, there's huge difference between this samba and traditional samba- get over it, btw the dance is called Flamenco not Flamingo

All of you are correct in some sense. Samba is a Portuguese word which means "A blow struck with the Belly Button". But the dance itself was introduced in Brazil ( Rio de Janeiro) by West African during the slave trade. It is a religious dance, which is now considered in Brazillian Carnival. Some thought Samba is an African word means Give and Receive or Things falls.

This is NOT samba!! ballroom dancing that's all it is.This dance you see is in Argentina and Spain as well. There is Tango,Flamingo, and Salsa in international ballroom dancing. But this is not Samba.Might want to change the title to this video.

Oh MY GOD I as So a FAN NOW!!
Well... it may not be Brazilian Samba but I can say this... there is far more technique in what these two are doing than Brazilian Samba. True dancers who are passionate about dance appreciate all types of dance. So everyone just needs to get over it and if you dont agree with it then dont watch it.

FYI for those of you who dislike this video. This is international Latin style..there is no point to compare Brazil samba with it here.
