Near the end of the segment on CNN's Larry King Live, DC Mayor Adrian Fenty is asked about the cloture vote in Senate of the District of Columbia Voting Rights Act of 2009.
Actually, that's only partially true. The Constitution explicitly gives Congress the right to, well, essentially rule D.C. So by those standards, Congress has the right to pass laws giving D.C. any rights they want. I agree that it's not the best solution, but it's a start.

Blatantly Unconstitutional.
Only STATES are allowed to be Represented in Congress period. They don't even pretend to give a flying shit about the constitution anymore.
If you want DC to have voting rights, you should only do it in three ways.
1. Amendment
2. Incorporate DC into another state. (Maryland)
3. Make DC its own State
Everything else is against the Constitution and anyone who votes for it is going against their oath of office.
Fuck them.
