  • This is such a cool song. I noticed a lot of people commented about your guitar. Is it an Epiphone or something?

  • Thank you.

    YAMAHA AE-1500 with ROLAND JC-120(amplifier).

    No effector.

  • Seen some of your videos - impressive - how long have you been playing?

  • Thanks for your comment.

I had a guitar when I was 19 years old. I'v been just an amateur. Most people who upload on Youtube play better than me.

But I don't care. It is my great pleasure to understand how they create real jazz line and how they harmonize the melody line.

  • Nice - really enjoyed it. You inspired me to post a video response of me doing the same tune with a vocalist. I hope you like it! Keep it coming!

  • that's true you are just a beginner or something like that but let me tell you, if you go on like this you will be a super guitarist, your solo is very melodic and in my opinion you have a lot of swing, blues (feeling). :)

  • Great guitar performance of Round Midnight! I hope I will be able to play like you with my ukulele.

  • Sharky sensei was generous enough to give me some pointers on this tune. I keep coming back to his version despite all the other youtube versions. The thing about his version is he loves and respects the original tune and lets the beauty of it carry through instead of trying to do something 'special' with it. Monk wrote a beautiful tune and we hear it here instead of the ego of the player. The straight up woody tone compliments the simplicity of the approach perfectly.

  • Beautiful tone. I love it.
