A glimpse at the preparation of http://explo.tv's live webcast of NASA's LCROSS lunar impacts from the Lick Observatory's 36" refractor telescope. Set-up began at 8:30 p.m. the night before the live 4:00 a.m. webcast.
We took some very casual footage of the set-up. To keep light pollution from interfering with the telescope, it's pretty dark in there. If you want to see the beautiful, historic Lick Observatory in better light, you can visit Mount Hamilton, CA during the day. Details at http://www.ucolick.org/public/visitors.html.
