Is Mr. Broder not aware of the illegality (i.e. un-Constitutionality) of the Federal Reserve and IRS as mechanisms for Imperial aggression? Such is why America is financially collapsing. It is the fall of Rome all over again.
Let it not be said that all academics are wise, or even accurate.

@loganachilles1982 I do get the point, it is to use rhetoric to confuse listeners into thinking that the target has made a fool of himself. I in this case there is a false dilemma the issue is presented as either you tax or you do not as if there was no difference in 1% tax and 90%. If nobody paid any taxes at all, that would mean no law and order as you could not hire any police so it would actually mean exactly that people could gang up on you and take your money. Hope this helps you get it.

Jan- I love your stuff, but how do you react when people justify taxation by saying that, “The money stolen by government through taxation is less than the money that would be stolen by individuals if there were no taxation, or at least less than individuals would have to spend protecting themselves against those whom taxation helps placate / police.”
-
Taxes are necessary. Just not the income tax. You can get taxed based on the things you buy, that makes sense, it's a liability. Gas is mainly for cars, tax the gas so you can build the roads for the cars. Property tax is for libraries. Income tax is for...? Even if it were for people who don't work... how is that related to those who do?

Naturally, no one likes to be taxed for a service that they will probably never see benefit them.
However, to have a running functional government to allocate resources, naturally there must be tax. It should also be the government's obligation to use the least amount of money as possible, because the money simply isn't theirs to use. It is the people's money, and obviously no one wants to see their hard earned money go to waste. Government should then take every opportunity to lower taxes.

If an individual, or goverment, or god almighty takes something which you own against your consent then it's theft. Dosen't matter if they say they are doing it for roads, welfare, etc. If it's against your consent it's theft ! If I take $ 5 from you against your will, and buy you a meal with it, it's theft. Taking another's property/money without consent is theft. And I say fuck the tyranny of the majority over the minority.

@tygmy Here's how it works , he asks theme a direct questions ( something politicians hate ) one which people with common sense know the answers, but if he tells the truth then it will make him or his political party look bad because they fuck people over for a living ( their "living" is other people money taken without their consent.). So they they have a choice, show their corruption, or look stupid by not using adult logic. Hope this helps you get the point.

@chris3443 By the same reason one can argue we have had witchcraft for centuries we must continue them as well. Bullshit argument. 200 years ago 95% of people were in farms today less then 5% why not use same argument and force people to farm.

Good strategy, first ask a question that is abstract, simple and open to intepretation and for next question ask a specific question to get a contradiction. If he answers yes, your next question is:"So if we passed a law that would make it legal to gang up on you and take all your money forcefuly, you would still be able to live optimally?".
If all you want to do is make your target look like an idiot, then this is a good way to interview.
I have no comment on the tax argument.

may be your best video yet, jan. astounding, this exposure of hacks who've obviously never considered the loony principle(s) behind the lunacy they espouse.
"the income tax has been here for a long time, therefore it is OK." Nice reasoning

broder suggests that once policy is 3-4 generations old, it becomes "hardly disputable."...
With this logic, wouldn't slavery still be in existence?
No surprise he is a pulitzer prize winning propagandist who obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago.
