Women aren't supposed to be upset when men are openly rude about checking them out, it's supposed to be "flattering" but the very idea that a gay man might be eyeing a straight guy? I have been in the Army for over 16 years, am most likely the straightest person on the planet and I absolutely love the DADT repeal. Now many of my friends can serve openly and not hide who they are just as I have never hid who I am.

I find it funny that conservitives think that the strength of a army unit will be hindered if gays are openly allowed in the armed services, mainly because theres no logic behind it, but even more so because historically speaking the greatest army that ever existed, the sparitian i.e. those guys in the movie 300, promoted gay relations thinking that type of close relations between benefincal to the unity of the troops, so to say it best THIS IS SPARTA... and its fabulous!

One thing strikes me as straight up (hah) ludicrous: did the critics of the repeal seriously think that there were no gay people in the military up til now? Like there weren't and aren't closeted gay men and women serving in the army? That's a... *special* level of ignorance, right there.
