The closing track on Voodoo, D composed a most hypnotizing and profound song: a dedication to his son, an homage to his heritage, and a Shakespearean-like metaphor for the continuation of beauty and timelessness through his seed.

  • @SonofSamhein They might be eclectic soul, but neo-soul..? Surely not.. And they don't hold a candle to this man regardless..

  • @voss297 I hope you have bought Voodoo since then cause that whole cd is hottt! And I understand why you had a crush cause he is fine, talented, soulful, and true to himself! I loves me some Dee lol

  • @okcsfinest23

I had his CD back in the early year of 2002, but I gave it away. =( I had a huge crush on D'angelo listening to his songs.

  • I love this song. D is a musical beast.

  • I love, love, love this song!!!! This is REAL music. D'angelo is a musical genius and I can't wait til he starts performing in the US.

  • @vidaa82 I'd respectfully-disagree, folks: Tony, Toni, Tone' are the FATHERS of Neo-Soul!!

  • Neva gets old...timeless classic

  • I am still in love with this song and album :-)
