  • We need accountablility from our PARENTS!!!!!

The schools are fine, the teachers work VERY hard and do a great job. It's the PARENTS we can NOT hold accountable!! They're not teaching their kids to behave, to pay attention in school, to do their work, to try hard to get a good education to get ahead! Blame the parents!

I'm a teacher. I see kids in the same class where SOME do very well and some do very poorly, all getting the same info from me. What's different?? THE PARENTS!

  • Caring about public education is like caring about our nation's sovereignty for politicians. We're led by globalist CFR & our capitalist country prefers rampant privatization which is nothing more than dictatorship by unelectable, phantom boards of directors. When u understand the push for privatization, you'll understand why we will never have great public schools. Dems intentionally write a proposal with problems so the GOP can be justified in refusing it... and vice-versa. Political theater.

  • No child left behind is the STUPIDEST thing I have ever heard. This is why children now never learn to read and write. They don't have to. They can only be held back for so many times and that's it. We are making our children unintelligent. These are our future leaders. Do you want someone that is essentially uneducated deciding what is best for our grandchildren? WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!

  • Sometimes it is interesting to consider who backs a spokesman for a particular view. in the case of Terry Moe we see far Right organizations backing him with hundreds of thousands of dollars to promote these anti-union positions, which I'm sure he really believes. Look up Media Transparency and at their site search Terry Moe. You'll find $300,000 in grants for him from The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation. At the same site enter this foundation as a search to see just how extreme they are.

  • GuitarDudeX, Look at the test scores in your district .school by school. While looking at a particular grade level and subject (language or math) check the subgroups and you will see the parent education level has a hell of a lot to do with how well students do on the standardized tests. What can a teacher do about a parent's education level?

  • The second man is correct, the power needs to come back to the people who can directly make teachers more accountable to their communities and citizens more accountable for their political decisions. Most people walk into the voting booth and tick down the party line without exploring the issues. This has been the ignorance and sloth statism has induced. Power to The People!

  • Private schools can only survive by giving quality education. If the education where of poor quality, parents would not pay for it. Public schools have only survived by giving 'free' education. The education is 'free' so who cares about the quality?

  • u can chose ur teacher not ur parents
