Birchwood Casey on KWA Aluminum Body:

Birchwood casey Alu Black will give you a charcoal matte black finish (too dark for me).

I rubbed it with WD40 to make it wear. and here is what I ended up with.

Upper reciever shows how my KWA paint wore thru time and abusive wear.

Here are the pics:

  • How did you use the WD40 exactly ?

just apply and rub with what ? steelwool ? cloth ?

lemme know, I'am just about applying the Birchwood Casey

    grtz

  • Hi! After stripping out the paint and applying Birchwood casey alu black. you have to make it sit for a few days. (2-3)

You can apply WD40 after that. Just use a clean cloth and rub lightly... you can do this once a week. Eventually the exposed aluminum will give you a natural dark grey finish.

  • I have applied this product to my KWA USP slide, and I'm not really satisfied with the results, probably should have to polish to get a nice black finish since so far I'm getting lots of grey spots.

  • Its reaction to different kinds of aluminum will also depend on the finish. Yes you might have to even it out so the reaction doesnt just blot spots or something like that.

  • bro where did u find b-casey in the philippines? thanks in advance for the info.

  • I got it from the states but I have seen birchwood casey being sold at Hahn and maybe Twinpines.

Check out any real steel shop they might have it.

  • It would depend on you. You can take the paint out using paint remover or thinner.

  • Do u have to sand the whole receiver first?
