Some nice in-car footage of a 2005 STI with Harman Motive turbokit. Running 100 octane @ 25psi on the stock engine, this car makes 400whp/400tq with great spoolup and driveability. Car is running a catted downpipe w/ equal length headers and a Cob catback. This video was made with high-quality camera and microphones - turn up the speakers and enjoy!

  • Sounds good

  • This sounds gorgeous. Did you shoot this in Alberta ?

  • How many pounds of boost mate

  • @UareAss music > sound of equal length header STI

  • @sengthor84 But why should we care what they sound like?

The same product can sound different in some situations.

Its fine with you always running HKS, no doubt they are a good company.

But not even HKS claim that they withstand any pressure.

Hence why they have pressure guidelines.

i totally agree they are an amazing product, but considering iv had faults with the same design bov twice, it isnt worth the hassle.

Just stay clear of turbotronics, useless piece of scrap

  • @SuPrAmAd101 Having a turbo with a ugly ass sound BOV is just bad. I've always used HKS products and its always been fine. Also the HKS BOV will stand any kind of pressure.

  • @sengthor84 But are we judging a product on its cost or sound? Or how well it works?

I recently had a skyline in at work with a forge Bov. Its a cheap Bov, sounds like this... but worked pefectly.

I used to run a HKS on my supra until the piston wouldnt release anymore, which resulted in far to much pressure being stored.

This Bov set me back £300

I know TIAL are doing recirc Bovs which are around £210... And have been proven to leak

long as it works, its fine.

  • @SuPrAmAd101 You're right on what the BOV does, but then again the sound of the BOV sucks ass. Can't compete with the HKS Super Sequential BOV or the Greddy BOV. That BOV sounds like something cost only 100 bucks.

  • @sengthor84 Why does it matter if the bov isnt to your liking?

Im guessing you want Fast and the furious style where it plays a tune?

You dont go into the store asking to hear what songs it plays... If thats what you do you seriously need to buy a N/a car straight away.

End of the day, the Bov is there for a reason. Its not just to amuse you when you press the pedal.
