Conclusion to the 1960s classic - one of the saddest film endings of all time. The final days of human life on Earth - and the final partings of the two main couples as they face death together - and alone. Beautifully written/acted/directed/scored. No copyright infringement intended.
The first such movie. Forget the Armand Assante copycat and all the rest. The book and the movie, have one of the finest adaptations ever on film. (Just wish they had the pogo stick scene from the book).

Thanks for posting. This is such a great adaptation of Shute's book. I grew up with all the realities portrayed here. Such a confused, enraging time...
