Dont blame the american music industry for not embracing something foreign. Hip hop has NOTHING to do with this genre of music! Just because something sounds good to you, doesn't make it the best thing in the world. Id like to hear a lot of music on radio stations/television, but will it happen? Hell no. You need to channel your anger towards something within your control.

There is probably one radio station i know about that is fit for this kind of music, Georgia State University has their own (over) 100,000 watt radio station that can even be heard in other states, 88.5 on your dial, you can call in and tell them to play any under rated music and they will play it! I tell them to play Peter Bjorn & John all the time :3
