After skating for 20+ years (yikes!) I know that skaters generally hate anything other than skating - it's almost engrained in the fabric of skating! Whatever...this takes some skill and reminds me of the early days when I first started skating. Every piece of cement and asphalt was a new challenge - plus I like the close connection to snowboarding. Very impressive.

u can learn to ride it in 2 days but to learn it right without falling and going fast takes a lot longer:)

i picked up a classic pro board from ebay for 20£ back in the day it was nearly 200£ if you could find a supplier

i had my first board for 3 years b4 i could find footstraps in the uk so i'd super glue old trainers to the foot plates

I streetboard and have never skateboarded so can't compare the two, and frankly is kind of daft to as are two very different sports. This is HARD to learn. I take mine down to the park and teach anyone who wants to give it a go and almost no one even gets it moving. When u get the hang of it though is amazing fun and aside from nailing myself on a regular basis (no bails) is best time i've ever had with my pants on. ADDICTIVE, get one!

@streetboarder: Ibejust bought an old school snakeboard with all the straps on it. I used to snakeboard when I was 13. Im nearly 28 now. I was guna buy a streetboard but people were outbidding me on ebay so I bought a snakeboard instead. Anyway, after riding it and having fun, im still curious to get a streetboard and see the difference. Any spare boards going with straps?
