On May 27, 2010, the Huntsville Fire & Rescue Service and Local 1833 of the International Association of Fire Fighters hosted the Fire Ops 101 program at the Alabama State Fire College in Tuscaloosa. This was a unique public education event that gave participants the opportunity to experience firsthand some of the challenges that fire fighters face on a regular basis. Three participants took part in the program, including Huntsville City Councilman Will Culver. Huntsville Chief City Administrator Rex Reynolds. And Jeanie Powell, Reporter for Huntsville's WAFF 48 TV News. The Fire Ops 101 program could not have been the success it was without the leadership of Huntsville Fire Chief Mike Sublett, the help and support of the Huntsville Fire and Rescue, and the generosity of the Alabama State Fire College, who allowed their wonderful training facility to be used to give civilians a taste of life in the fire service.
Hello Mike! It was good to see you again! This is the best job in the world! Best wishes! Roland from Hungary!
