i water profed the batters with a plastic baggie and eltrical tape. you put the battries in the bag poke a small hole for the connector to come out and and twist the bag around the batteries. now you put the eltrical tape around the hole in the bag and it gives you a water tight seal, but be careful, because water can lean in.
