It's a shame we have to spell it out like a kindergarten teacher.

Good video.
Just a footnote. According to physicist who believe in the Big Bang theory, the Universe started with it. The time was created with it. It makes no sense to ask what was before the Big Bang, as the time started with it (hence there was none before).
I heard theists claim the Big Bang was started by God. I always have the same answer: "no theory about where the BB comes can be tested, so believe whatever you want, I myself don't need an explanation" and end that argument.

Send it to TheLivingDinosaur. ;)

@Boredom012495 okay, nvm, I'll just let websnarf have this one.

@Boredom012495 Sigh... okay: The solar system hasnt always been here, it took a long time for it to coalesce. The molecules of the gases coalesced after being from the big bang (we dont know about before or if there was a before or a prior/other universe) Gases ARE substance, they dont "turn into substance" (kindergarten level statement). Scientists have never said the earth was 1000 years old (that was religious people).

How much credit would you give the answer : "Shiva"
Atheists find the idea that Jesus or Yahweh did it about as convincing as you find the idea that Shiva or Allah did it.

gzzz..where to start. Nature vs. Nurture..... it is both. Christianity limits you to one path that believes everyone should follow that path. But what is clearly cross-cultural is the understanding of all cultures; then making a synthesis. Look at your life. Is it at the potential it could be if you weren't so tied down by your social beliefs... ugh... I think beliefs are over-rated because people can control them; therefore there is a market. A five year old with a brain tumor, is non-resolute

I think this was very well said Snarf, this is an accurate description of atheism though there is no belief as you mentioned but atheism is simply a lack of belief due to total lack of evidence. However, I enjoyed your dialogue. Keep up the good work.

@Boredom012495 Because science does not know everything does not necessitate a God or provide the slightest bit of evidence there is or ever was a God. In fact there is no evidence of any spirit, god, divine being or anything else except the physical reality of the Cosmos. No one ever said there was a beginning nor an end of the Cosmos. It is most likely it is eternal.

@websnarf The Age of the Earth is about 4.6 Billion years old as you said. The Universe or Cosmos is about 3 times that amount. Science is a means of finding a reality, whereas religion lives in darkness thinking everything is explained, when in reality nothing is. Ignorance is bliss.

So if all Christianity is a hoax as the video says, then how did the earth come about?
Boredom012495 11 months ago
@Boredom012495 : Accretion of gases and other materials from the solar system many billions of years ago. Christianity is only 2000 years old -- it's not an explanation of anything.

@websnarf and where did the gases come from? And how do we know the solar system has always been here? and if the solar system was created by gases as well then where did the gases come from? and how did the gases turn into substance and created living organisms? And how come scientists are always changing the earth's age? it used to be a thousand years old, and now they keep changing it. So where's the proof of living beings from the billions of years?
Boredom012495 11 months ago
@Boredom012495 : The gases came from nebulae and the explosions of other stars. The "solar system" is just the name we give to the space which holds a locality which happened to accumulate sufficient material to re-coalesce into a star and some surrounding satellites.
As to how this material turned into life, this has been explained by Miler-Urey & Jeff Szostak through a process called abiogenesis. Scientists can't change the age of the earth which has always been 4.55 billion years old.

@Boredom012495 : There is fossilized cyanobacteria that are dated to 2.8 billions of years old.

@websnarf The last athiest I talked to said the world was 2.6billions of years old. So how did it get .2 billion years older in a week?
Boredom012495 10 months ago
@Boredom012495 : The earth is 4.5 billion years old. Not all atheists are 100% informed of everything.
