@FoscamUS No happy with the Foscam. Has been inconsistent picking up motion detections. Completely missed picking up the burgulars face. Only got his back when he was leaving. No good enough

@FoscamUS I have had a Foscam FI8905W for a few weeks now. Works pretty good. Im wondering if they can upload short video of motion detection email alerts instead of just image sequences?

How much far they can connect wireless from the router?

@AjKBB With clear line of sight, they can go upto 80 meters. With walls it is much less, depending on thickness and number of walls

can Foscam record to the web while the computer is switched off ?

@paltalker3000 Yes it can, provided you have a webserver with the necessary software. Free software is available such as Zoneminder which allows you to do this on linux servers. If you have a windows server you can get WebcamXP, BlueIris or a number of other programs. Checkout our site at Foscam.us
