My own version of combining "Your Love Is A Lie" by Simple Plan with "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day...it's not a 'mash-up', it's simply playing both songs at the same time with only a few alterations.
(NB: When it says one song plays in the left channel, and the other song plays in the right, this is how it was when I made the video...YouTube seems to have converted it to mono. Oh well.)

Well this happens in rock music. There are only so many melodies and eventually you will find yourself hearing similar melodies going around.
But I agree that the similarity here between these two songs is quite big.

It's pretty obvious Your Love Is A Lie is pretty much sounds like Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, it's very noticeable. And I'm talking not as a fan, but as a music lover. Sure, I really prefer Simple Plan to Green Day (love both of them btw). But still, there are still differences between each songs, so, I wouldnt really call it plagiarism yet.

its a hoax!!!..u know what when u are talking of plagiarism..it indeed copied the whole stuffs,..but simple plan did already the best song ever...and its the band that never fades even bfore...and guess what the had alraedy proved that they are the best..ubtil now..who would ever forget the "addicted" and "welcome to my life"?...no one...!!!!so u better try to mash-up things out than to proclaim ur verdict!!!!u are not on the right trunk to bark...!!!!1

XDD I was listening to this with my earbuds, and one song was coming from one earbud, and the other song, from the other one. Kind of confusing.
... And, pretty similar. Never noticed it. Both great bands, though. :D

Well, I love both bands, but Green Day is my favorite. Green Day wins, hands down.
Anywho, to be honest, I've heard better mashups than two songs just played over one another. I think you could do better. 3/5.

@619Agent I was never really trying to create a mash-up, as such...like I said very clearly in the video description. My aim was to show how similar the two songs are to each other, and honestly I think the best way of showing that is by playing them both simultaneously.
