hi, What would you recommend the dsl401 or the dsl100/50 ? i have the marshall mg100dfx which i use for gigging and line it though the pa. but i want to get a tube amp for tone, classic marshall tone to be specific! i would more inclined to go with the combo for portability, but i want to know is the tone as good? i would be micing the combo up to the pa.

@PRussy666 Just my opinion... but I think you'd be much better off with the DSL 50 (or 100) and a good Avatar or Lopoline cabinet. You can also find Marshall 1960a cabs pretty cheap.

I really didn't care for the DSL 401. It sounded really harsh at band volumes and the effects loop is terrible.

My advice is don't get the DSL 401 ..... but be sure to try it...... you might like it.
