Hey guys! Sorry it's been SO long since my last video. Trying to get ready for this guitar exam coming up and I must say this listening to intervals and trying to figure them out is so difficult for me. Anyways enough of the boring stuff =). This Mozart piece is one of my exam pieces and I really tried to get the dynamics right. I still need to do a lot on this one I think though. Mozart's stuff is kinda new for me so tell your ears I'm sorry about the pain I might of inflicted on them k. This I believe, is the type of piece where it's suppose to be played with a "dance" feel to it. I find it fasinating that by 13 years of age, Mozart had written sonatas, concertos, symphonies, religious works, and operas. Whoa! The saddest part was that he died shortly before his 36th birthday and in view of his debts he was given " the poorest class of funeral. " The thing that got me most was that Mozart's friends followed his hearse until the weather to a turn for the worst and they left leaving the hearse to proceed alone. =( Mozart has a very sad story.

  • I completed my RCM Grade 10 in piano. I know nothing about classical guitar, but your video definitely has inspired me to take lessons. Your playing was BEAUTIFUL and I am very, very jealous of your awesome abilities.

  • @ritsbits88 Hey Ryan! Thanks so much for listening to this. I remember having such a hard time this this piece. Especially the dynamics of the piece. I dropped by your channel and really liked your playing as well. Grade 10 RCM! Wow! Impressive! Will you continue to the ARCT level? Hopefully, when I reach grade 10, I will be able to played with just as fluid as you do now. Thanks again Ryan for listening!

  • I must of missed this one.

    Great. No "pain", just pleasure!

  • @van1976 Ah, there you are Van. Thanks so much for commenting. I've been incognito for awhile because of this guitar exam but I'm done now so hopefully I'll be able to do another video soon. I was thinking about one from Enya. I recently heard someone play one of her song on guitar and was mesmerized. Anyways thanks for always listening Van.

  • capo? have u tried tuning half step up? nice one. esp the rhythm you played it smooth and lively. i am not a huge fan of mozart but this piece is lovely and well executed!

  • @wooki97 Hi Chris! Yeah just experimenting with it. I wanted to have a really bright tone. I'm not really familiar with a lot of Mozart pieces but I wanted to attempt this one because of the tempo. It's so different to the ones that I'm use to. Come to think of it, I think I should of tuned it up a bit. I didn't use the capo on my exam though. I think I'd probably have marks deducted if I did...lol. Thanks a lot Chris for always listening to me.

  • @jnclassicalguitarist - Hey Julie! Yeah, I'm taking my exams with the Royal Conservatory of Music. I get so nervous playing in front of people and that will be my biggest obstacle. I don't know how you do it Julie. You're so natural when you play. Right now though, I'm working on the melody playback part....yikes! Thanks so much Julie for always listening. Your comments always me me that extra boost and the smiles help a lot too. Thanks again Julie!

  • Very nice my friend Mel! The recording is good too. Have fun on your guitar exam. Are you in conservatory? Also, thanks for a little bio of Mozart. Very sad indeed.
