live minnows and live shad/dead shrimp can only attract fish quicker by the smell

im going to the pensacola navarre beach area on august first and i want to fishing on the beach i just want to catch some fish i dont care what kind or what size... what is the most consistent way to catch fish? will dead shrimp work. what kind of live bait can i buy that will catch fish? any other tips to catching fish off of the surf? THANKS
