I had similar themes of goat and sacrifice in mine. Interesting comparison to those outside Judaism that had similar concepts.

I can take the modern approach to that, have you seen the 1973 movie "the Wicker Man" with Edward Woodward and Christopher Lee? it is the same story from 2 points of view being played out at once. its a popular film amongst modern pagans to draw a parallel comparison to the Christian and Pagan perspective, along the lines of what you talked on about the scapegoat theology./

@Afterfauve007 - Love the 1973 version! It was awesome. Didn't even think about it until you mentioned it. I do have the DVD and also the remake. The 1973 version was much better I thought. Thanks!

A basic ancient medical practise that goes all the way back to Sumeria.

Images of whole people were produced & buried as a healing - seem this ended up a real scape goat person - one in exchange for the other.
