Mama Janet Ekundayo (1917- 2009) Philanthropist & Carer. Hailed as the 'Mother Teresa of Nigeria', with limited education and funds set up the Ekundayo Children's Home in Makutu-Isanlu Kogi State in 1967. As at 2007 over 500 orphans had passed through the Home. She cared for orphans without government assistance up until her death in a road accident in 2009
