Darcy Allan Sheppard Memorial Ride - Gathering at the End

Memorial bike ride for Darcy Allan Sheppard, the cyclist killed on Monday August 31st during a collision / altercation with former Ontario attorney general Michael Bryant.

This video was taken at the end of the ride, when we arrived back where we started on Bloor.

not murder though. if you attack a motorist while he is driving, you can't expect him not to defend himself.

I was distraught by Sheppards death, and after much soul searching, I realized that it was ultimately his own recklessness that put himself in danger, and that same recklessness exists in most toronto cyclists. even nice mannered young ladies riding vintage bikes go right through pedestrians boarding streetcars. the couriers who have fixed gears with brakes have zero intention of stopping at any red light and frequently run down peds

Sheppard though he had the right to assult whoever he wanted, and he was wrong. he acted like an asshole and unfortunately it cost him his life. most cyclists around toronto act like assholes.
