Act III Scene 2 (Shakespeare) from Saul Williams' self-titled second album released in 2004.

Williams is is an extraordinary poet, probably the best of his generation. He is also a musician, actor and writer.
Musically, he has collaborated with Zack from Rage Against the Machine, Serj from System of a Down, Ikey from The Mars Volta, KRS-One, DJ Krust, De La Soul, Erykah Badu, Allen Ginsbourg, Trent Reznor of NIN, and many more.

For me he is one of the very few poets/lyricists who do what artists are supposed to do. Expose their true feelings and thoughts. His words cut through me like a butcher's knife and his passion makes me want to riot. Enjoy.

I made this video clip from whatever footage I had on my computer because my internet connection was down. Hopefully I'll come back to it and fix it up. A lot of the footage if from Zeitgeist II, the rest are mine.

  • i miss u zack!!!

  • That was probably the greatest piece of music i've ever heard!

  • the video fits perfectly! the songs inspiration from the play Julius Ceasar and Mark Anthony's inflamitory speach at Ceasar's funeral is awesome to begin with but the video puts even more ephasis on the parallels. Where is the "love" button cause thats how i feel about this vid.

  • i was just reading shakespeare's tragedy of julius caesar and saw the line "if you have tears, prepare to shed them now" in act 3, scene 2. i always figured this song's title was a reference to shakespeare - i appreciate this song that much more after stumbling upon its inspiration like that.
