Red Dirt were a British heavy blues-rock band, whose sole eponymous album appeared and disappeared again in 1970, leaving little impression on the record-buying public, grinding blues-rock / rasping vocals, heavy guitars. Not associated with the Blues boom but a band with their own agenda. The album, Red Dirt from 1970 goes for big bucks, so if you're a million bucks short of a million, the re-issue cd is out there.

Hey, My old man is Ron Hales.. and it's finnaly nice to see the Red Dirt album getting recognised, we are very close friends with the orignal songwriter, guitarist singer and fiddle player Dave Rich.. I'm not old enough to remember these days but I certainly still love watching Dave and dad jam.. Ron is currently playing with Hull Metal band Soulflame and from my point of view one of the greatest guitarist alive.. Long live Red Dirt
