You definitely wont find narco-subs sold for commercial use. These things are built way off the grid with varying designs — each modified to overcome new problems with detection.

  • @einenrauchen Are you a Marine engineer? :P Well noticed!

  • @dasUBootVII they allready are.

  • @einenrauchen sure!

  • Respond to this video... It won't be long before they add ballast tanks and pumps and make the things fully submersible with watertight hatches and round sight ports -----then they'll be cookin' with Crisco from New York to Frisco.

  • @ydabom That's right....Jack London would have written thick volumes about this stuff.....and what could be more dicey than trying to get to Rota, Spain, 3500 miles across the Atlantic in one of these damned things.

Hell, I'd do it just to be able to write about it afterwards....even if behind bars.

  • @einenrauchen Close enough-----one is just a more viscous version of the other.

  • All I know is, I'd buy a narco sub captain a beer or 3 in exchange for tales about his plying the waters in these weird, dangerous craft.

  • I think the mariners who pilot these craft deserve some respect. Think about it; it's one of the last true adventures left in sailing. These are open-ocean craft without sophisticated navigation equipment; their pilots have to rely on their wits and inaccurate commercial GPS, if that's even available. Their pilots set sail in them with no idea of their beam stability, top speed, roll characteristics: nothing. It's truly putting faith in things you can't control to set sail in a narco sub.

  • @Jukeone88 Respect? Are you aware of how many people have died because of this trade and these cartels?

  • @einenrauchen the second boat looks more aerodynamic because it is, it glides underwater faster than the first one
